Cookie & Browser Storage Policy

A plain-language explanation of the session cookie and localStorage used for security and convenient non-sensitive preferences.

Local browser storage

The interface can store the selected light, dark, or system theme; the preferred language; saved favorite-name slugs; compare-name slugs; and small non-sensitive interface settings in localStorage.

This information normally stays in the browser. It is not silently uploaded as a profile. The compare and favorite lists contain name-page identifiers, not birth details.

Advertising and third-party tracking

This version does not load third-party advertising, analytics, social-media, or share-button JavaScript SDKs on normal pages. Social sharing occurs through ordinary links or the browser's native share feature after a visitor chooses it.

An external destination can set its own cookies once opened. Review that destination's policy for details.

Your controls

Use the browser's site-data controls to remove the session cookie and localStorage values. You can also clear saved names through the interface. A browser set to block all storage may still read public name pages but some personalization and security features may not persist.
